Calling All Spades Players

Spades night is Saturday Night.

Hey everyone! Are you a Spades fanatic? Well, come get your Spades fix with us on Saturday nights. From 6pm until midnight every Saturday we will be hosting open play. It's free! Just come in and try to bring your own deck of cards. We will be suppling some playing cards but we want to make sure we have enough to go around. If we get alot of interest it could lead to Spades tournaments or leagues! If you have any questions please feel free to email us. Hope to see you soon!

Come in with your partner, find another team, and play against them. Their will be Spade League slips to fill out by both teams to announce the winners of each game. Try to find different teams to play each time. Best of 12 games win.
Rules are as follows:
· Trump-Spades Ace high thru deuce
· Your bid must be in whole numbers, ie you cannot bid 3 and a possible. You are allowed to raise your bid by only one, before the first card is played.
· Person to the left of dealer leads the first card.
· If you “bag” 10 extra books, you will lose 100 points.
· If both teams go over 500, the team that goes farthest wins.
· Re-nig means that someone mistakenly (we hope) does not follow suit. If it is caught before the entire hand is over the team that re-nigs will lose their bid automatically and the other team will automatically receive the points for their bid.
· Please keep table talk to a minimum.
· Misdeal: The criteria for a misdeal are as follows, no spades and no face cards. If you want to claim misdeal, it will be before the first bid is announced.
· Nil: Worth 100 points if you are successful, and -100 points if you are not. Nil is when you bid that you will take no tricks. If you do not feel confident about a Nil bid, you may bid 0.
· Blind 6: Cannot be bid unless the team is no less than 200 points down. Blind 6 is when the team bids, before looking at their hands, they will take at least 6 tricks. If successful the team will score 120 points.
· 10-for-200: This scores 200 points if the team bids and takes 10 tricks.
· Boston: When the team bids to take all 13 tricks and succeeds, they will score 250 points.
· Blind Boston: When the team bids to take all 13 tricks before they look at their hands, they will score 400 points.
· Double Nil: When both partners bid nil at once, and succeed, they will score 250 points.
