WH 40K Planetstrike Campaign Starts 12/14/09!!!!

WARHAMMER 40,000 SET LIST Planetstrike Campaign

-Each player will make two 2000 point set lists. You can't go over, not even by 1 point. This is the list of your army you will play with the whole league. You cannot change it out at anytime. So be careful of what you field. Each player will bring in a typed/printed copy of your list for the store to keep. When typing your list, please note similar units as 1, 2, 3and so on. (For example: Broadside unit 1, Broadside unit 2 or melta bomb Tactical marine squad, non melta bomb tactical marine squad)Just like the last league, you can come in and find an opponent on league night, or set one up.
You will have an attacker and defender set list that follows the Planetstrike rule book. If you have special characters or One per Army stuff, you cannot use it in both lists. Farsight cannot be in both lists, for example. Also, if you gain an ability, like Fleet with Shrike, that ability will be only present in the army the special character or item is included in.

-Missions will be found in the Planetstrike book and 5th Edition book. If you are attacking or defending a resource or building on the map, Planetstrike missions are in effect and will be chosen by the league manager. Standard battles on open terrain will be played out of the standard rule book and players will roll off to see which missions are played, and which deployments are used. You are BOTH required to use your set attacker list for non planetstrike missions. Terrain requirements and bastion amounts will be decided by the league manager to fit the map layout and storyline. When you are finished with the terrain, you will put it back where it came from.

-The league starts on the 14th of December and ends the 14th of March. Winners will be decided by wins and losses, then if there are any ties, by battle points. Make sure to fill out all of the information on the result slips. If you don't they will not count. Each team can fill out one slip, and make sure to put both team members name on it.
First week is a 'setup week'. The board tiles will be setup and all members wishing to participate in the map day will take turns placing building units.
After all building units are placed, starting with the members present, we will randomly select your 'turn order'. The first player will pick their HQ location with their flag. Go down the order through all present members until HQs are selected. The league manager will then select HQ locations for the members not present. Week 2 will be the first week for gaming. Based on the story line, some players will have 2v2 and others 1v1. If an odd number of players are involved, the Broken Alliance mission will be played. No odd number of players for Planetstrike missions. The last man to move to the battle will not be allowed and instead will need to move somewhere else. You can make requests on the forums or through Mike at AFNG or myself. All movement, battles and other actions will be established when the league manager arrives on Monday and games will ensue from there.

You cannot be eliminated from the league. If your HQ is destroyed, you will not gain the 10 points for it.

Veteran points in the back of the 5th edition rule book are in effect. Your opponent will report your veteran points when the result of your match for the day is submitted.

Monday notes the start of the new week and all reinforcements and army moving only happen on this day. Battles can ensue on Monday or any time after during the week. If you do not participate in a battle, you will not get any points. If an opponent attacks you, your resources or base, you will automatically lose the battle if you do not play that week. You must declare your move through a private message on the Forums or by writing it down and leaving it in the box at the store. Actions must be submitted this way as well.

-13 Week League, $10 League Fee (Please make sure to pay your league fees before you play your first league game). All games in the campaign will be used to determine the winner. For each HQ you posses at the end of the league you will get 10 points. For each HQ you defend successfully, you will get 5 points. Every resource you posses (listed below) will be worth 2 points. For non Planetstrike missions, normal battle points will apply. If there are ties for winners, then we will go to tiebreakers by looking at overall games. If there are still ties, then there will be one last tournament, points and scenario decided by us.

-The more people that sign up, the more players will win. Signups start now.

-Call ahead to reserve a gaming table for yourself and your opponent to guarantee your space. Monday nights will be the official league night, which guarantees the most room for 40K players to schedule your games. Games played during the weekdays cannot start any later then 7pm. Sunday games will be scheduled in two shifts, 12-3pm & 3-6pm. If you plan to play a game on any day that is not Monday, you must call and reserve a space.

-All League games must be played in the store.

-If you can't attend a scheduled game, you must notify your opponents 3 hours in advance to avoid default. If you don't your opponents get an automatic win.

-Models must at least be assembled; all units must be represented by an appropriate model/s. If there is something in your army that is not WYSIWYG, you must inform your opponents. Paper, cups, plates, etc. is not allowed to be used as models. If you don't have a model for it, you can't field it. This also means no empty bases allowed!

-As new 40K Supplements come out, we will incorporate them into the league. You MUST have a copy of the rules with you at the game (GW Standard). Make sure to have your own dice, ruler, and templates.

-As always there will be a Sportsmanship award.

You will have a set amount of action points and one movement point. You start with 5 AP and 1 MP. You will never gain more movement points but you may be able to get a slight increase or decrease in AP from HQ and other building gains and losses. Action points ALWAYS happen before movement. You can only move one tile per movement phase. This can either be to attack, retreat or a standard move to a new tile. If you start your movement on a space port, you can move to another space port as if the tile was adjacent to your current location. You can move up to 2 tiles using action points. These movements will cost you 1 action points PER TILE. These moves can only be used to move to a tile that has no other player army on it. You can move into another players claimed tile location, but no battle can be initiated by it. This means if you move to a tile that another player is moving to…you will not be able to stay there and will instead move back to the previous tile. Reinforcing costs 1 point per unit. If a unit is below half strength at the end of a mission, you must use 1 action point to get back to full strength. For multi-wound models, you must use 1 action point to regain any wounds. HQs with retinues follow the multi-wound rule. The retinue will cost 1 point (in addition to 1 point for the HQ suffering wounds) if it is below half strength. Vehicles that suffer permanent damage (weapon destroyed, immobilized, wrecked or explodes) will cost 1 action point to repair. If you do not repair a vehicle or unit before the next battle, you will be at a handicap and not be able to field the full list, so you must use all AP points on reinforcement first before moving. For example if Farsight lost his retinue in the last mission, he cannot field it in the next battle unless it is repaired.

All units 'damage' and losses must be reported by the opponent when the game is complete. If you suffer a Massacre loss, you have the option to 'retreat' at no cost to your home base. If you are tabled (0 models on the board at game end), you are required to return to home base and must rebuild using your action points.
