The Mirrodin Besieged Pre-Release event is coming up quickly (January, Sat. 29th & Sun. 30th)! This event will be unlike previous Pre-Release events, so please make sure to read all of the below if you want to maximize the chances of being able to play your favorite faction; we have will have a limited number of faction packs for each faction.
On Faction Packs:
Faction packs are a new Pre-Release-only format that is debuting during the Mirrodin Besieged Pre-Release event. Faction packs are essentially just that: Each pack will be aligned with a specific faction (Mirran or Phyrexia for this event), and will contain cards related to those factions only. There will be no Mirran-themed cards in the Phyrexia packs and vice versa.
Regardless of the events in which you choose to participate (Sealed, 2HG, Draft), you must state which faction you are choosing to align yourself with whenever you register for an event. For example, if you choose to play both Sealed and Draft, you may ally yourself with the Mirran forces for one, Phyrexia for another, Mirran for both, or Phyrexia for both. The important thing is that you make clear when registering the faction with which you wish to ally for that event.
- To remain in the spirit of this event, 2HG teams must agree on one faction when registering.
- Open Duelists do not need to declare a faction.
- We will be organizing the game room a little differently for the purposes of registering these separate factions, so please make sure to read the pre-registration section below even if you don't intend to pre-register.
Note: Faction packs will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pre-registration is available for the Sealed event only; see the section below. Please keep in mind that if you arrive late and we have no more packs from a specific faction, you will be forced to play whatever is left, so make sure to manage your time accordingly.

2HG: 4 Faction Packs / 4 Scars of Mirrodin
Draft: 1 Faction Pack / 2 Scars of Mirrodin
Pre-Registration:
To allow players the best chance to play the faction of their choice, and to guarantee seats for as many people as possible, we are now accepting pre-registration for certain Pre-Release events. Pre-registration for Sealed only is open as of this email, and will end at 6:00PM on Friday 28th.

On the day of the event, and upon registering (or confirming pre-registration) players will receive a ticket with a number and a letter (M=Mirran, P=Phyrexia) to determine their order of seating for the deck-building process. Faction Pack priority will be given to those with smaller numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.). Those who pre-register will have tickets set aside for them, so make sure to pre-register if you wish to guarantee a spot with a particular faction.
